Jackson Hill, 17 - Football (Soccer)
In 2010, Jackson showed his versatility and commitment to the Gold Coast Academy of Sport being a member of both the Future Stars and Football programs. The former St Stephens College school student who is about to start studying Psychology at University level, has enjoyed a stellar pre-elite career in both athletics and Football. In athletics he has achieved outstanding personal best performances in school, and state level sprinting events from 100-400m. Last year Jackson was a member of the Gold Coast U/17 champion club team. This year he has progressed on to the Gold Coast U/19 rep squad and hopes to one day play in the A-League. Jackson was named as the 2010 GCAS male athlete of the year for his exceptional achievements with the academy both on and off the field.
Katelyn Simpson, 17 - Athletics

In 2010, Katelyn had outstanding results in athletics supported by her participation in the Gold Coast Academy of Sport Future Stars program. Katelyn had impressive results in 800 and 1500m athletics events at school, state and national level. This resulted in her participation in the world all-schools cross country event and she travelled to Slovakia in Europe to compete. She received the honour of the position of captain of the girls national team. Currently Katelyn is a member of the Queensland Talent identification squad and Australian U/17 squad for athletics. Katelyn was named as the 2010 GCAS female athlete of the year for her exceptional achievements in athletics both on and off the field.
Alistair Davis, 16 - Football (Soccer)
In 2010, Alistair showed tremendous improvement in skill and attitude throughout his participation in the Gold Coast Academy of Sport Football (Soccer) program. Alistair has been a member of Gold Coast rep teams since U/13’s but last year took his game to new level being the ‘Golden Boot’ in the Gold Coast U/17 competition and the leading scorer in the Premier Youth competition. Alistair has a simple philosophy to achieving in sport: Quality coaching + structured programs + hard work and commitment = Improvement and success! Alistair was named as the 2010 GCAS Football program athlete of the year for his exceptional achievements in Football both on and off the field and is currently trialling with the U/19 Gold Coast representative team.
Dee Dee Russell, 14 - Golf

In 2010, Dee Dee displayed outstanding results in Golf supported by her Participation in the Gold Coast Academy of Sport Golf program. Dee Dee represented the Gold Coast District in the Junior Jug in Mossman and also represented Queensland in the Greg Norman State of Origin event. Regular practice and dedication has seen Dee Dee reduce her handicap significantly over this period. She was also was a proud member of the inaugural GCAS Golf team at the Academy Games in Armidale where she was the leading female Golfer at the tournament. Dee Dee was named as the recipient if the 2010 GCAS Chairman’s Award for her Exceptional improvement in Golf both on and off the field. At just 14 years of age, she had now been invited in to the draw for the ANZ Ladies Masters Pro-Am event at the RACV Royal Pines Resort.
