The Greater Building Society's Cessnock branch and ATM will move from 93 Vincent Street to Cessnock Plaza on February 5, 2007.

The new branch is at the entrance to the plaza just up from the Woolworth's supermarket.

Branch manager Colin Somerville is looking forward to moving to more modern premises. He and assistant manager Diane Jones have worked at the Vincent Street branch since it opened in April 1980.

Mr Somerville says the new branch will be in a more convenient location with better access to parking.

“The new branch will provide customers from Cessnock and surrounding districts with greater ease of one stop shopping,” Mr Somerville says.

The Vincent Street branch will still be open for business on Saturday February 3 from 9am until 12 noon. Staff will be busy over the remainder of the weekend to enable the new branch to open at 9am on Monday February 5. The Vincent Street ATM will cease operating on Friday afternoon and is expected to re-open at the new site on Monday afternoon.

The branch's phone numbers and operating hours remain unchanged.
