Gold Coast residents have another way to access the services of a leading building society with today's opening of the Greater Building Society's new branch at Elanora, west of Currumbin.

The branch is located in The Pines Shopping Centre.

The Elanora branch will be the Greater's 66th and its seventh on the Gold Coast. Newly appointed branch manager Richard Quine said that the Greater has been looking for some time for a suitable site to continue its expansion in to South East Queensland.

“The Greater is continuing to expand its branch network to better serve its Gold Coast customers,” Mr Quine said.

Mr Quine has 26 years experience in the financial services sector. Perhaps the industry was in his blood as he was born in the tax haven, The Isle of Man, famous for its large number of banks and financial institutions.

He said he was looking forward to welcoming new and existing Greater customers to the branch to assist them with their financial needs.

The Greater's first Gold Coast branch opened at Tweed Heads in 2002, followed by Robina in 2003. Other branches are located at Nerang, Burleigh Heads, Pacific Pines, and Helensvale.

The Greater Building Society is one of Australia's top 500 companies and has the largest branch network of any building society in Australia.
