Central Coast woman takes her mum to meet Jerry in Vegas

Date: 08/12/2009

Leah is the final winner of a series of competitions being offered through a Central Coast, Newcastle and Gold Coast radio station as well as the Greater’s travel partner, Travelworld. Each competition offered the same prize to a lucky winner and a friend.

Leah won the Greater’s competition just by saving at least $50 in her Greater account.

Leah and the other competition winners will be flown to Las Vegas on December 23, spend five nights in luxury accommodation at Caesars Palace, receive VIP tickets for two people to Jerry Seinfeld’s live show at Caesars Colosseum Theatre on December 26 and have a personal meeting with the US funny man after the show.

The Greater has also given Leah and each of the four other winners US$1,000 in spending money.

Leah is a Seinfeld fan but said she never really thought about winning the competition.

“I never expected to win,” Leah said.

Once the initial shock wore off, I was ecstatic,” she said.

Greater head of marketing John Dwyer said the competitions were organised by the Greater following the launch of its successful marketing campaign starring Jerry Seinfeld.

Mr Dwyer congratulated Leah and all the other competition winners.

“We wanted to celebrate the launch of the campaign by giving our customers a chance to meet Jerry,” Mr Dwyer said.

“Jerry was very generous in allowing us to offer this opportunity to ten people,” he said.

“This is the trip of a lifetime to the city that never sleeps.”
