Customers to star in new Seinfeld campaign

What: New Seinfeld commercial series customer shoot
When: 15, 16 and 17 September, 2010
Where: Cameron Park (Wednesday) and Fern Bay (Thursday and Friday)

Eight Greater customers (seven from Newcastle and one from Sydney’s northern beaches) will star alongside Jerry Seinfeld in the Greater Building Society’s anticipated new series of commercials.

The customers will record their parts at a shoot in the Newcastle suburbs of Cameron Park, 15 September and Fern Bay, 16 and 17 September.

Head of marketing John Dwyer said that while the Greater has had customers appear in its commercials for the past 10 years, this will be a first time appearance for all of these customers.

“The real stars of our advertising are our customers who simply talk about why they like dealing with the Greater,” Mr Dwyer said.

“Thanks to our fantastic staff, we have many people willing to recommend the Greater to others,” he said,

“The Greater has an independently determined customer satisfaction rating of 95%, a rate unheard of among the banks.

“We will just have some fun while making the serious point that offering excellent service is something the Greater prides itself on and does much better than the major banks.

“With the help of Jerry Seinfeld our customers are reminding other consumers that there are alternatives to the major banks offering better rates, low fees and superior service.”

Jerry Seinfeld shot the new series of commercials in a New York studio last month.

The first commercial is expected to air on TV screens and on radio in regional NSW, on the Gold Coast and in Townsville next month.

The commercials featuring the Greater customers, will be added to the campaign throughout the coming months.
