Filming of next anticipated Jerry Seinfeld commercials filmed in Morpeth today

Date: 15/09/2009

Morpeth will feature in the next series of anticipated Greater Building Society “Ask a Greater Customer” commercials starring Jerry Seinfeld, with filming taking place in the town today.

It will be lights camera action on the footpaths (or as Jerry would say, the sidewalks) of Swan Street and in local businesses.

Eight Greater customers from Newcastle, Maitland and the Gold Coast and one of its managers will be filmed to star alongside global comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld.

Greater Building Society head of marketing John Dwyer said Morpeth was selected from a number of potential locations for the anticipated next series of commercials. He thanked the local businesses for their support and participation.

“Morpeth had the look of a typical Australian regional town that made it perfect for the shoot,” Mr Dwyer said.

“I hope the filming provides some free publicity for one of the Hunter’s great villages,” he said.

New York and Sydney are the two other locations that have been used to film commercials in the current campaign.

The “Ask a Greater Customer” commercials starring Jerry Seinfeld have been running since July 12 as part of a Greater campaign to raise its profile and to take on the major banks.

This series is being shot by Mayfield based company Concept Creative Communications. Swan Street will be subject to traffic controls to allow filming to take place.
