Greater Building Society Gunnedah branch manager Derek Lodge presided over his meeting of the Gunnedah District Development Board this month.

Derek was elected to the position of president at last month’s AGM. This will be his third year of service on the Board.

Derek says he will continue to build on the good work of the previous president to help Gunnedah businesses to prosper.

“The Gunnedah District Development Board is a voice for business and we will make sure Gunnedah businesses are at the forefront of the minds of politicians, Council and other groups,” Derek says.

He says that he is looking forward to the opportunities to meet more business people in the region.
 
Derek has worked for the Greater for just over 12 months. He has more than 10 years experience in the financial services sector in the region.

Greater regional manager Kevin Buckley congratulated Derek for serving his local community.

“The Greater has a proud history of service to the people of Gunnedah for more than 30 years,” Kevin says.

The Greater and its staff always try to give back to the communities in which they operate,” he says.

The Board has members from large manufacturing businesses to small owner-operated concerns and individuals. It has a 10 person committee elected annually by members.
