Head of retail Mark Heath said that the Greater’s Charlestown Square branch will open every Sunday from December 4 to 18 between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm. 

He said Sunday trading is another way the Greater is making it easy for customers to conveniently access their money, set up an investment account or take out a loan during this busy lead up to Christmas.

“We are responding to feedback from our customers who have told us that, in the busy Christmas period, they don’t always get time to do their banking or take care of loan, investment, or insurance matters,” Mr Heath said.

“While the banks are talking about being more responsive to people in the Hunter, the Greater has always been focused on providing local people with competitive rates, low fees and outstanding service,” he said.

“The Greater is making it easier for its customers to manage their time and their money.”

The Greater has had Saturday morning trading in all of its branches for more than 30 years.

“All of the Greater’s branches are staffed by at least one lending specialist to allow us to help most people as soon as they walk in to a branch, without the need to come back after making an appointment.”

The Greater also provides service through mobile lenders, a customer service centre, a Live Chat service on its website staffed by real people, as well as 24 hour internet and phone banking.
