Greg Creagan from Shellharbour is the Greater’s new Illawarra and South Coast regional manager. In addition to managing the Greater’s seven local branches he also has responsibility for the Greater’s Townsville operations.

Mr Creagan has 13 years experience in the financial services industry. He has spent eight of those with the Greater as branch manager at Shellharbour and then Wollongong.

Branch managers Nicole Crabbe, Craig Mowbray and Tracey Farrugia started with the Greater this week. Ms Crabbe will manage Figtree branch, Mr Mowbray will manage Shellharbour Branch and Ms Farrugia will manage Corrimal Branch. The three new managers have almost 50 years experience in finance and lending between them.

Meanwhile, the Greater’s Shellharbour manager Gary Luck is moving to Wollongong Branch and Wendy Triffit is moving from Corrimal to Warrawong. Mobile lender Alan Ritchie continues in his role.

Mr Creagan said the Greater has had a branch in the Illawarra for more than 30 years (Warrawong) and made the decision to expand its local branch network eight years ago to offer people another alternative to the major banks.

“With the help of Jerry Seinfeld we have continued to experience strong growth in refinancing and these changes will allow us to continue to grow to offer more local people great rates, low fees and outstanding service,” Mr Creagan said.

He said that an increasing number of local bank customers were switching to the Greater. The Wollongong branch has had its best six months of lending since it opened in 2003. It and Shellharbour branch are in the top 10 performing branches in the Greater’s network. Mr Ritchie is the Greater’s most successful mobile lender and the winner of the inaugural Greater Chairman’s Award for Staff Excellence.

The Greater Building Society serves around 250,000 members in NSW, South East Queensland and in Townsville. It has 67 branches and an independently determined customer satisfaction rating of 95 percent. The Greater was named Australia’s Building Society of Year in the 2011 Australian Banking and Finance Awards. In the 2011Mozo People’s Choice Awards Greater was named Australia’s Best Home Loan Provider, Best Savings Account Provider and Building Society of the Year.
