New, additional Greater ATM in Ballina

Date: 18/08/2010

As part of its commitment to serving the people of Ballina and the North Coast, the Greater Building Society has today opened a new ATM at Ballina Fair Shopping Centre.

The new ATM is conveniently located out the front of the newsagent.

Ballina branch manager Terry Chandler said that the new ATM was part of a $300,000 project to install 10 new ATMs across its area of operations in 2010.

Mr Chandler said that the new ATM is in addition to the one at the Greater branch at 131 River Street, Ballina. He said it was necessary to more conveniently serve the Greater’s growing local customer base.

The investment is on top of the recently announced partnership with rediATM that is providing Greater customers with direct charge free access to more than 3,100 ATMs around Australia, including 106 more on the NSW mid-North and North coasts of NSW and six in Ballina.

“Whether our customers are shopping locally or travelling and doing business around the country we want to give them more fee-free access to cash wherever they may be,” he said.

“This is all part of our Jerry Seinfeld led campaign to expand our service offering to become a big, safe alternative to the major banks.”

“We are always looking to help our members to avoid fees and help make accessing their money even more convenient.”

Customers can search for ATMs via ATM locators on the Greater’s and rediATM’s websites. RediATM also has an SMS locator service and an iphone application.

The Greater has 66 branches across regional NSW and on the Gold Coast. Nearby branches include Lismore, Casino, and Tweed Heads.
