New Branch Manager for Port Macquarie

Date: 01/10/2009

Glenn Perez has been appointed as manager of the Greater Building Society’s Port Macquarie branch.

Mr Perez has recently moved from Sydney to Laurieton with his wife Comerie who is a general practitioner. He has more than 18 years experience working in Australia in financial services.

He says he is looking forward to getting out of the office and helping local people with their money matters.

“I see so much opportunity for Port Macquarie and the region,” Mr Perez said.

“Laurieton and Port Macquarie are such beautiful places that I can see myself living here for a very long time” he said.

Born in the Philippines, Glenn initially studied biological sciences and was set to become a doctor. After moving to Brisbane he fell into financial services and has never looked back.

Mr Perez has previously worked for some of the major banks. He said he was attracted to the Greater because it was a large, reliable organisation that was focused on looking after its members.

“Giving great customer service is what the Greater is famous for and it also has a good community feel.”

“With the signing of Jerry Seinfeld, it is an exciting time for the Greater as we position ourselves as a viable alternative to the major banks.”

The Greater’s Port Macquarie branch opened in 1980. It employs six friendly staff.

Nine of the Greater’s 66 branches are located on the mid and North coast of NSW. The Greater is one of Australia’s largest building societies and a Top 500 private company*.
