New Greater ATM installed at Newcastle Airport

Date: 31/10/2011

The Greater Building Society has installed its first ATM at Newcastle Airport today.

Transaction services manager Matt Scully said that the ATM will provide the Greater’s growing number of customers across NSW as well as other locals and tourists with more convenient access to their money.

Mr Scully said the new ATM is the 101st in the Greater’s ATM network. Greater customers also have direct fee free access to almost 4,000 rediATMs across Australia.

The installation of the ATM coincides with the commencement of services yesterday by Regional Express (REX) from Newcastle Airport to both Sydney and Ballina.

Newcastle Airport is currently one of Australia’s fastest growing airports. More than 1.1 million passengers passed through the airport in 2010.

“We are growing our own ATM network at around 10 per cent and are still looking at sites for additional ATMs where our customers are living, working and holidaying,” Mr Scully said.

“We are always looking to help our members to avoid fees and help make accessing their money even more convenient,” he said.
“The Greater serves almost 250,000 customers in Sydney, regional NSW, and south east Queensland - key destinations served by the airport.”

The ATM is located next to the internet kiosk near the entrance to the Departure Lounge.
People can search for Greater ATMs via ATM locators on the Greater’s and rediATM’s websites as well as the Greater’s free iphone application. rediATM also has an SMS locator service and an iphone application.
