Greater Building Society is temporarily relocating its 238 Summer Street Orange branch while it creates an even better branch for its customers and staff.
From Wednesday, November 16, the Greater will be temporarily located at 302 Summer Street (near Gospers Newsagency). Phone and fax numbers remain unchanged.
The Greater’s ATM service will be interrupted between November 10 and 15 (inclusive) while it is relocated. Greater customers can still obtain direct fee free access to their money using the rediATMs located in eight locations around Orange. For details of Greater and rediATMs click here.
Branch Manager Bob Farrimond said the branch will be relocated overnight to avoid inconvenience to customers. He said that the existing branch is being redesigned to provide better customer and staff amenity. Mr Farrimond said all of the Greater’s branches are progressively being redesigned to a new “branch of the future” concept. The Orange branch will be the fourteenth branch to undergo a major refurbishment.
He said the new branch will allow customers to enjoy ultra-modern facilities including new sit-down counter service and meeting areas.
The new branch is expected to be complete by mid-March 2012. The refurbishment is taking longer than usual due to additional maintenance work being completed on the premises during the same period.
“We are always looking at ways to improve our service and that includes making our branches more attractive, comfortable and efficient,” Mr Farrimond said.
“Our more colourful, warm and inviting branches will better match our friendly service,” he said.
“We thank our customers for their understanding while we undertake this work and look forward to welcoming them into the new branch next year.”
The current branch became a Greater branch after the Greater’s merger with Mitchell Building Society in 1998.
