Central Coast Dunecare

Project Status: COMPLETED

Central Coast Dunecare

Coastal sand dunes are the basis of important ecosystems and provide a reserve supply of sand for use by waves during storms. They also support valuable communities of plants and animals. Restoration of sand dune ecosystems and securing their biodiversity involved protecting the relatively undisturbed vegetation that remains as well as trying to restore what has been lost.

Planting date: 21st April, 2021.
