Planting occured amongst a grassy woodland, in an open canopy with understorey vegetation. The project provided shade and adds aesthetic value to the area. Greater Bank donated 2,000 trees!
The areas surrounding the Figtree Oval planting site include sporting fields, an off-leash dog park, a children's playground and community hall. This planting of grassy woodland and specimen trees enhanced the underutilised parkland. It provides increased shade and enhances waterway protection with buffer planting, resulting in decreased mowing.
