Greater Bank has been immortalised alongside some of Newcastle’s most iconic landmarks on the Newcastle version of one of the world’s most popular board games, Monopoly.
As the official financial institution of Newcastle Monopoly, you can find Greater Bank on the board alongside the premium properties of Nobby’s Beach and Anzac Memorial Walk as well as in the Chance Card deck and on all the Monopoly Money.
The special Newcastle edition was officially launched by Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes, Mr Monopoly and the team from Winning Moves, the global licensee of Monopoly publisher Hasbro, at Newcastle Museum recently.
Greater Bank CEO and long-time Monopoly fan, Scott Morgan, also attended the launch and was delighted by the opportunity the partnership with Winning Moves provided the customer-owned bank.
“We saw the creation of the Newcastle edition of Monopoly as something special to the region and contacted Winning Moves earlier this year to look at opportunities to be part of it,” Scott said.
“As one of the region’s leading business that has served the community for nearly 75 years, it’s fantastic to see Greater Bank sitting alongside other iconic Newcastle brands.”

Following the launch, Greater Bank’s Hamilton branch were treated to a special visit from Mr Monopoly himself who popped in to meet the team and also Scott; a long-time fan of the board game.
