Rate of Origin - NSW vs Queensland

In the Queensland vs NSW Rate of Origin II, the Greater played hard, done good and put in a HUGE effort but the Maroons won the day.

Rate of Origin is a fun annual review of the ratings of both NSW and Queensland based financial institutions by the good folk at Mozo. Read it here

Rate of Origin is a tough game for the Greater because with seven Gold Coast branches and mobile banking in Townsville we are really playing for both sides. It's mate against mate and Great(er) against Great(er). Everyone is a winner when they bank with us!

How will things pan out in Wednesday night’s decider in the real State of Origin?

Rivalry is strong amongst the staff in our Gold Coast Branches as there are a few ex-pat cockroaches amongst the local cane toads. We thought we’d see where the loyalties lay and get a prediction from a couple of them.

Who will win?

NSW by 4. Every one of those 17 NSW players will be fired up to spoil Grandpa Lockyer’s farewell

Man of the Match?

Anthony “The Count” Minichello. As solid as a rock at fullback and he’ll de-fuse the Qld kicking game. They say all champions have one good game left in them and this will be his.

Who will win?

Are you serious? It’s a no brainer. Qld by at least 9. The whole state is behind them. NSW just can’t generate the passion to win when it really matters. Our boys will do it for Locky.

Man of the Match?

Billy Slater. He’s a great player and also really cute!
