We're now offering you Greater ways to connect

The Greater Building Society now offers customers more ways to connect, with the launching of two new Social Media channels from Monday March 24.

The Greater had previously only operated in Social Media on Twitter, Youtube and our Blog, but from today will also be active on Facebook, Google Plus and employment networking site Linked In.

Customers and non-customers alike will now be able to connect with The Greater to fulfil their customer service needs, as well as to gain helpful and informative financial insights as well as see where The Greater is active in their community.

Greater Online Channel Manager Jason Byrne said he hopes that The Greater’s foray into Social Media will give customers more channel choice to access award winning customer service.

“The Greater has a long history of providing customer service that is second to none” Mr Byrne said.

“We have just recently been named Building Society of the Month for January, 2014 by Roy Morgan Research, and this is after being named Building Society of the Year for 2013 by the same organisation.

“In late 2013 we were also named Australia’s Most Loved Banking Organisation after achieving consistently higher customer satisfaction ratings than any bank, Building Society or Credit Union in the country.

“In the interest of maintaining and improving our customer satisfaction levels, we aim to connect with our customers and potential customers through social media in order to provide them with a quick, easy, genuine experience like they would receive in branch or through our call centre.

Mr Byrne also added that becoming part of The Greater’s online community will allow customers easy and convenient access to valuable information and data to aid them on their financial journey.

“One of our aims is to break down complex financial topics and jargon and translate this into real-world useable information that relates to our customer’s lives” Mr Byrne said.

“We also hope to allow a wider audience to see the extremely valuable work being done in our communities of operation by The Greater Charitable Foundation and its funded partners, and to let people know where and when The Greater is active in their area through sponsorships and charity work.”
