Greater helps plastic surgeons showcase customer service

Newcastle’s Hunter Plastic Surgery has taken out this year’s Hunter Business Award for Customer Satisfaction (under 20 employees), presented by The Greater.

The Greater Building Society’s Head Of Marketing and Distribution Matthew Hingston presented the award at a gala function attended by more than 500 Hunter business people on Friday.

Matt congratulated Hunter Plastic Surgery on its customer focus and success in building its business.

At the ceremony, Hunter Plastic Surgery’s Practice Director and Co-Founder, Amber Moncrief, said the business was renowned not only for the quality of its surgery but also for the service provided every step of the way for patients. Amber said the service from administration staff and medical staff was very important to Hunter Plastic Surgery’s five star reputation. Event emcee and former NBN Television news presenter, Mike Rabbit, said the judges noted that 99% of our previous patients say they would recommend Hunter Plastic Surgery to others and that the organisation has an outstanding commitment to ongoing learning.

“We are committed to providing excellent care and service through every part of a patient's journey with us from the first phone call to last post-treatment visit and beyond,” Amber said.

"We thank the selection panel from the Hunter Business Chamber for this recognition of our passion for service and also thank The Greater for sponsoring this award and supporting local business," she said.

More than 70 organisations and individuals competed for awards across ten categories In other key awards, Newcastle Restauranteur and Neil Slater was named Hunter Business Leader of the Year. Drilling equipment manufacturer, Quarry Mining, took out the President’s Award. Bryce Gibson of LJ Hooker Cessnock and Kurri Kurri was named Young Business Executive of the Year.

The Greater had sponsored the small business customer service award since its inception three years ago to give back to the business community and promote the importance of customer service in business.

Matt said providing outstanding customer service was one way The Greater distinguished itself from the major banks. The Greater has won a national Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award in 2014 and 2015 with satisfaction levels as high as 97 per cent. It was also the winner of the 2012 Hunter Business Award for Customer Service.

“As a customer owned banking organisation, providing outstanding customer service is at the heart of what we do,” Matt said.

“As one of the Hunter’s leading organisations, we want to support and recognise outstanding businesses and organisations that are central to our great region’s diversified economy and community,” he said.

The Hunter Business Awards are presented by the Hunter Business Chamber and are recognised as the premier business awards in regional Australia.
