Customers will now be able to use Westpac group ATMs as well as Greater ATMs without paying direct charge ATM fees. Previously customers could use rediATMs without paying direct charges.
Greater Head of Marketing and Distribution Matt Hingston said the move means Greater customers will have more convenient, direct fee free access to more than 3,000 ATMs nationwide. The Westpac group network includes Westpac, St George Bank, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne ATMs. Mr Hingston said Greater customers will still be able to use rediATMs direct charge free until October 13 to allow them time to get used to the change.
He said the enhanced Australian ATM access was on top of the access to cash and funds enjoyed by Greater customers with a Visa credit card or Visa debit card. Those customers have access to more than 2.1 million ATMs and can use their cards at tens of millions of stores and locations in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
“We’re giving our customers better access to their money wherever they are in Australia or around the world,” Mr Hingston said.
“An extensive ATM network, simple mobile and internet banking as well as friendly, expert staff in branch or on the phone is all part of how we make banking straightforward for our customers,” he said.
People can find their closest Greater or Westpac Group ATM by using the Greater’s mobile and website ATM locator.
