Greater Bank named Most Recommended Customer-owned Bank

Greater Bank has been recognised as the Most Recommended Customer-owned Bank at the 2019 DBM Australian Financial Awards announced in Sydney last night.

The award is generated from DBM Consultants’ Consumer Atlas survey. It gathers financial behaviour, attitudes and intentions from 62,400 Australians and is based on Greater Bank claiming the top Net Promoter Score (NPS) within the category.

The result is a true reflection of the high regard customers have for the business and their willingness to recommend Greater Bank.

On accepting the award, Greater Bank Chief Executive Officer, Scott Morgan, said it was further recognition of the work the bank conducts every day to satisfy the needs of customers.

“Serving our customers and the communities in which we operate is one of the key and founding principles of Greater Bank. It’s what drives us as a business every day,” Mr Morgan said.

Mr Morgan said that Greater Bank’s model offers a genuine competitive alternative for Australian consumers.

“The recent report handed down by the Banking Royal Commission reinforced to the industry and the general public that customer-owned banks are now more than ever a reliable and competitive alternative to the big four banks. We exist for the sole purpose of serving our customers and the communities in which we operate,” Mr Morgan said.

“The Banking Royal Commission has also clearly outlined the differences that exist between the major industry players and Australia’s comprehensive list of customer-owned financial institutions.”

This award follows on from Greater Bank’s recent success in taking out the national Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award – Bank of the Year in 2017 and 2018, as well as Money Magazine’s 2018 Home Lender of the Year.
