How long have you been in the role?

I have been a Manager at Greater Bank for 21 years in a range of different roles including Mobile Lender, Lender Manager as well as my current role as Branch Manager at Erina.

What sets Greater Bank apart from the competition?

What sets us apart from other banks is that we have real and genuine conversations with our customers. All of our customers love the fact that their Branch Manager has an open-door policy, which allows them direct access to the people who can look after all of their financial needs.

As the branch manager, what are the key principles that you and your team live and work by every day?

Our team lives by a few simple but highly effective principles that we follow each day. These include having a clear direction and plan, holding ourselves accountable and making sure we always collaborate as a team.

What are the most challenging and also rewarding parts of your role?

I think the most challenging part of my role would be keeping up with all the changes that are happening in the industry. In order to keep up with all the changes, I now take a step back to look at the situation, spend time researching options in order to think about the best approach which then allows me to act in the best way possible. The most rewarding part of my role as a Leader, Branch Manager and Lender is being able to help people achieve their financial goals.

What's your most memorable customer interaction at the Erina Branch and why?

We recently had a customer who, after receiving a Greater Bank pre-approval on a home loan, placed a successful offer on a property. Within the same day we were able to provide unconditional approval and have the approval letter on the solicitor’s desk to organise the exchange on the same day the offer was accepted.

How has your branch supported the Erina community?

We love being able to support our local community and recently had a number of staff from our Central Coast branches, including Erina, attend the Ourimbah Fun Run, which promotes an active and healthy lifestyle.

We are also excited to be supporting the Central Coast Academy of Sport as part of Greater Bank’s commitment to identifying, monitoring and developing the skills of young, local netball players giving them access to national and international standard training and development programs.

What do you love about Erina and the community?

I love that Erina has the facilities of a city but without as many people. It’s also the people and our community that make it such a special place to live and work.
