Staff Volunteering

A key platform of the Foundation's activities is the involvement of Greater Bank staff in funded projects through volunteering and pro bono assistance.

In the last 12 months alone, more than 200 Greater Bank staff have volunteered with a Greater Charitable Foundation partner, with many volunteering more than once and for more than one partner!

Every year the Foundation announces its annual Employee Volunteer of the Year Award to recognise Greater Bank employees who go above and beyond in their volunteering support. This award was established in 2015 to recognise the time, passion and commitment shown by Greater Bank staff for their local communities.

Volunteer Awards

The Foundation has been nominated every year from 2014 to 2019 for the Centre for Volunteering NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards. Over the years we have been honoured to be recognised as finalists for the Corporate Volunteer Team of the Year Award and the Individual Corporate Volunteer of the Year Award.

In 2018, we also made it to the top 3 finalists in the Queensland Volunteering Awards in the corporate category. In addition, a number of our charity partners have recognised the commitment our staff give to volunteering, nominating them for local mentoring awards and the Youth Action NSW award.
