Maitland Riverlights Festival

Riverlights Multicultural Festival celebrates diversity through food, music, dance and interactive experiences. Riverlights transforms The Levee into a global village. Visitors can see, taste, feel and experience the different cultures being demonstrated and activities such as live music, dancing, language classes, lantern making and cooking demonstrations.

Riverlights Multicultural Festival will proceed in 2020, however, not in its usual format. Instead of hosting a physical event for Riverlights, Maitland Events will bring new and exciting digital content to life to encourage community connectivity and celebration from Monday 5 October until Saturday 10 October.

The digital content will celebrate the sights, tastes and sounds of Riverlights for the community to enjoy in the comfort of their own home. Digital content will be available on the Riverlights website and via The Levee Facebook page.

Helping Riverlights shine

Greater Bank returned as Major Event Sponsor of Maitland Riverlights Multicultural Festival in 2018, bringing fun, food, entertainment and education to Hunter locals. As part of the day's events, Greater Bank presented $1,000 to each of our three winning #GreaterRiverlights schools, for their outstanding Riverlights lantern designs. Thanks to Maitland City Council, My Maitland and all our staff volunteers who made this event such a huge success.
