Greater Bank supports Living Smart Festival for first time in 2019

At Greater Bank, we know that living smart fosters healthy, happy and prosperous communities, which is why we are proud to support the Living Smart Festival in 2019.

Held at Lake Macquarie’s Speers Point Park from 27-29 September, the Living Smart Festival is one of the largest environmentally focused community events in Australia.

This year, visitors will experience a jam-packed event featuring workshops, cooking demonstrations and eco-living displays designed to raise awareness of environmental issues while inspiring people to live more sustainably.

Highlighting this year’s 10th anniversary program will be an appearance from Gardening Australia host and Gold Logie nominee, Costa Georgiadis, who will be speaking at the event on Saturday, 28 September.

As part of the Festival, Greater Bank will be running fun activities for children designed to teach them about the simple changes they can make to conserve energy and protect the environment, while learning how these behaviours can help their financial sustainability.

Customers are also encouraged to visit the Greater Bank stall on the Saturday where they can opt-out of receiving paper statements and receive a special gift.

Greater Bank’s Head of Marketing and Customer Experience, Matt Hingston, said that by sponsoring the Living Smart Festival, Greater Bank hopes to show customers how small changes can have a positive impact on the environment and their bank balance.

At Greater Bank, we believe in supporting the communities that support us and are proud to support an event like this which drives positive environmental outcomes for our community. - Matt Hingston, Head of Marketing & Customer Experience.

We know that living smarter fosters healthy, happy and prosperous communities and that environmental sustainability is everyone’s responsibility. It’s so important to teach kids to be environmentally and financially responsible and we hope that by showing them how to make small lifestyle changes, they will feel empowered to help protect the environment.”
