It has been a year like no other. 2020 has challenged us all like never before, but also given us the opportunity to reset and refocus our priorities.
Before the curtain comes down on the year, we caught up with some of our Branch Managers in your region to reflect on the challenges of 2020 and what they are looking forward to across the Christmas and New Year period.
TWEED HEADS: Branch Manager – Mike Watts
“This year presented us with many challenges but one of the biggest was the border restrictions between NSW and QLD which was a headache for three of our staff members who had to cross the border twice daily.
Despite the difficulties, we’ve been able to get through it thanks to the resilience of our staff and patience of our customers. We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas together as a team with a ‘Sumo pub crawl’. The sumo body suits will ensure we’re adhering to social distancing requirements!
We’re also excited by the lifting of boarder restriction, which will allow us to once again travel freely again between states.”
HELENSVALE: Branch Manager – Nicolene Davies
“One of our greatest challenges this year was managing the changes brought about by COVID and ensuring they were implemented as smoothly as possible for all customers.
I’m extremely proud of the way our staff supported each other during what has been an extremely challenging year. We’re excited that restrictions are starting to ease just in time for Christmas and are looking forward to spending time with our families over the festive season.
As for next year, we can’t wait for a more positive 2021.”
