Kootingal Public School P&C has big plans for students after being awarded the major share of the #GreaterNewEngland funding round for April.
For winning this month’s community vote, Kootingal Public School will receive $3,000 to go towards providing students with a range of extra-curricular activities to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
Rebecca Pollard, Kootingal Public School P&C President, said the committee was thrilled to receive the grant and would see to it that the students benefit from the funding.
“Being a little community, we ask so much of a small group of people. This grant will help us to provide so much more for our great school,” Rebecca said.
“The money so generously provided by Greater Bank is an enormous help and will go a long way in ensuring our students are given the greatest opportunities to learn and excel in a supportive and academic focused environment.”
Both runners-up for the March round, Lake Keepit Sailing Club and the Tamworth Football Club will also each receive a $1,000 grant.
Greater Bank’s Regional Manager, Jennifer Smith, is so proud to see the program continue to provide such deserving community groups with much needed funds.
“We’ve now seen the program deliver $160,000 in funding to 96 community groups across the region and each month the impact grows exponentially,” said Ms Smith.
“For two and a half years we have seen what an impact this regular funding channel has offered the New England community, particularly by supporting smaller community groups that don’t attract a great deal of public attention and continually have to work hard to fundraise every year.”
