    HIIT Workouts a Good Fit for Workplaces

    HMRI researchers in physical movement have been experimenting and looking into new ways of working out and staying active under COVID-19 restrictions. HMRI conducted a trial called 'WorkHIIT' designed for maximum exertion in minimum time (such as a lunch break). The trial saw enhanced sleep, increased fitness, motivation, productivity in the workplace amongst the participants.

This week reading 'Hairy Maclary Scattercat' will be Peter Overton.

    HMRI researchers in physical movement have been experimenting and looking into new ways of working out and staying active under COVID-19 restrictions. This video features Prof. David Lubans and how he used zoom to train his son’s soccer team during lock-down, using sport specific high-intensity-interval-training (HIIT) workouts.

    The Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Season was cut short due to COVID-19. On 16 July the season will resume with players heading back onto the field to complete the remaining regular season matches and finals series. The Newcastle Jets are now back at training in preparation for the resumption of play and we can't wait to be there to support them! Stay tuned for further updates.
