Helping you take your side hustle to the next level

When you've got a business idea you know will take you places, but are struggling to get off the ground, a little help goes a long way. No-one knows this better than us - we've been helping our customers make their dreams a reality since 1945.

That's why we gave young entrepreneurs across Australia the chance to be mentored by one of Australia's foremost small business owners, and win $5,000 to put towards their side hustle, start-up or passion project.

Congratulations to our three winners!

After being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of amazing entrants to our competition, and the quality of Australia's budding small business ideas, we selected three outstanding entrepreneurs as our winners.

Congratulations to Georgia Bunt, owner and co-founder of 'Get Grazey'; Tahnee Cook, owner and founder of 'friends of her' and Lachlan Powell and Vanessa Vargas, owners and founders of 'I Am Grounded/Coffee Fruit Bar'.

Meet our winners

Get to know our three budding businesses, and the driving forces behind them.

Get Grazey

Get Grazey takes the effort out of entertaining with fun, colourful, “more is more” grazing tables. They are nothing like you’ve seen before! This side hustle has been born out of a passion for food and entertaining. After 10 weeks of operation, Co-Founder Georgia Bunt had amassed nearly 1000 followers on Instagram, booking on average one job per week. Georgia will use our $5000 grant to reach the next level: uniforms, savvy marketing, and in future, more employees.

friends of her

Born out of a love for fashion and Mother Earth, friends of her is a label designed for the millennial girl who isn’t afraid of standing out from the crowd. The label empowers individuality and puts a spotlight on fashion sustainability. The brand is for females, supporting females - 10% of profits will go towards educating women in underprivileged countries. Founder Tahnee Cook plans to use our $5,000 grant to bring her first collection to life, and improve her online and marketing presence.

Coffee Fruit Bar

Coffee Fruit Bar has the potential to end destructive waste pollution in the coffee industry and empower coffee farmers to fight poverty. Co-Founders Lachlan Powell and Vanessa Vargas take upcycled coffee fruit waste direct from micro-farms in Colombia and combine with natural ingredients to form raw, vegan energy bars. Not only does this taste delicious - it's incredibly good for you! Lachlan and Vanessa plan to use our $5,000 grant to complete their product with fully compostable packaging.
