Foundation appoints Community-minded Board member

Greater Charitable Foundation has welcomed Ingrid Kaczor, Greater Bank Community Engagement Manager, to the Hunter-based charitable organisation’s Board of Trustees.

Ms Kaczor joined Greater Bank in 2014 and has held positions in both the marketing and sponsorship teams before being appointed the Community Engagement Manager in January 2016. In this position she is responsible for ensuring Greater Bank delivers on its strategic objective to support the community that supports its operations.

Prior to joining Greater Bank, Ms Kaczor worked in senior account manager roles in sports marketing and advertising agencies. She was Marketing & Sponsorship Manager at sports apparel company, ISC, and the Senior Sponsorship Manager with the Sydney Roosters for five years.

Ms Kaczor brings a wealth of experience in managing commercial partnerships and the delivery of community funding programs to her newly appointed position. She has extensive knowledge of Greater Bank’s customer base and the regions in which it operates. She understands the extent to which regions differ across geographic areas and and how community activities outside the Foundation’s charitable work function.

As Community Engagement Manager, she will be able to help direct and create opportunities for better alignment between Greater Bank’s corporate partners and the philanthropic ventures of Greater Charitable Foundation.

Ms Kaczor said she is looking forward to her new role, applying her expertise to the not-for-profit sector and helping the Foundation continue its charitable contribution to the community.

“I am honoured to be appointed to the Foundation’s Board and look forward to broadening my involvement by leveraging Greater Bank’s relationship with its community partners to provide greater support to the amazing work of the Greater Charitable Foundation,” said Ms Kaczor.

“As a community owned bank, supporting the community that supports us is intrinsic to our philosophy as a business and it is through the work of Greater Charitable Foundation that we are able to achieve this objective.

“It’s an exciting time for the Foundation, with the shortlisted applicants for the 2019 community funding round being announced later this month. I am looking forward to playing an active role in helping to facilitate cohesion between the selected charity partners and Greater Bank’s broader community engagement initiatives,” said Ms Kaczor.

Ingrid’s appointment to the board was made by Greater Bank CEO, Scott Morgan. She was highly recommended for the role because of her passion for serving the community, as well as her vested interest and contribution to the philanthropic sector.
