Generation Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that supports people facing barriers to employment to gain the skills and confidence needed to secure meaningful work. They have delivered intensive training programs combining technical and employability skills, connecting participants with local employers and preparing them for long-term workforce success since 2018.

Generation Australia improves financial wellbeing by creating accessible pathways to sustainable employment. They support individuals from underserved and vulnerable backgrounds, including young people, women, culturally diverse communities, and those facing long-term unemployment, helping them access meaningful work and lasting career opportunities.

Our partnership is helping Generation Australia deliver the Locals for Lifelong Care Careers initiative, creating pathways into essential roles across the health care and social assistance sector. The free program provides bootcamp-style training, personalised support and direct connections to local employers.

Over two years, the initiative will support 200 jobseekers across the Illawarra, Hunter and Mid North Coast to upskill and transition into roles such as aged care, disability support and childcare. By addressing workforce shortages and barriers to employment, the program will help individuals build long-term financial stability while strengthening the local care economy.
