Illawarra Hawks and Greater Bank to host Girls in the Game Basketball Clinic

Greater Bank is partnering with the Illawarra Hawks to create more opportunities for young girls to get involved in basketball, with the Girls in the Game Basketball Clinic giving participants the chance to build their skills and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

The Girls in the Game Basketball Clinic is open to girls aged 5–12 years, with participants of all skill levels encouraged to attend. Whether they're stepping onto the court for the first time or already playing regularly, the clinic offers a fun, inclusive and supportive environment where young athletes can develop their skills, build confidence and make new connections.

Delivered by experienced coaches and inspiring role models, the clinic will focus on fundamental basketball skills, teamwork, and fostering a positive and enjoyable experience for every participant.

Greater Bank spokesperson and NGM Group Chief Distribution Officer Paul Juergens said the customer-owned bank was proud to support an initiative that helps more young people experience the benefits of sport.

"Sport has a unique way of bringing people together while helping young people build confidence, resilience and lifelong friendships,” Paul said.

“Through our partnership with the Illawarra Hawks, we're proud to support opportunities that strengthen the communities we're part of and create more opportunities for young people to get involved in basketball.

“We hope this clinic inspires participants to build new skills, make lasting friendships and most importantly, enoy getting out on the court."
