Newcastle Jets Major Community Partner

The Newcastle Jets are the footballing heroes of over 650,000 locals in Newcastle, The Hunter and Northern NSW. The Jets are seeking to grow on and off the pitch, bringing pride to their legions of fans and chasing the type of success last tasted in 2008.

To help the Jets re-connect with the community, Greater Bank joined forces with the club as the Major Community Partner in 2015. 

Central to this has been the establishment of the Jets:CONNECT program, which was born off the back of community and member feedback. The program aims to re-establish the all-important ties between football at the local level and at the nation's highest level and has enabled the club to reach more than 5,500 aspiring young footballers across the Hunter and throughout Northern NSW.

The Jets:CONNECT Program

Each year, the Jets:TOUR aims to expand the reach and support of the Newcastle Jets to regional centres across NSW. The tour gives the Jets the chance to give back to their fans from further afield and promote a healthy and active lifestyle in these regional communities. In 2023, we look forward to visiting Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour in September.

Jets:LEARN

Jets:LEARN provides your school with a chance to score one of 20 available coaching clinics from Newcastle Jets heroes and easy to use teaching resources. We've teamed up with the Jets to give primary schools a PDHPE curriculum aligned program of four x 45 minute football skills lessons specially designed by your favourite Jets players. All resources including lesson plans and online skills demonstrations by players are provided to your school once registered. Jets:LEARN is available to all primary schools across Newcastle and regional NSW completely FREE. To take part all you need to do is register your interest and the Newcastle Jets will be in touch with more information.

Jets:PLAY

As part of our commitment to supporting the community and local participation in sport, Greater Bank supports Jets:PLAY, a football skills program that gives everybody the chance to learn from their sporting heroes. These free training sessions are for kids aged 5 to 14 and are held in locations around Newcastle and regional NSW.

Jets:TOUR A League Men's

Each year, the Jets:TOUR aims to expand the reach and support of the Newcastle Jets to regional centres across NSW. The tour gives the Jets the chance to give back to their fans from further afield and promote a healthy and active lifestyle in these regional communities. Over the years, the Jets:TOUR has visited Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Lismore, Orange, Dubbo, Armidale, Muswellbrook and Tamworth. In 2023, the Jets A League Men's team look forward to visiting Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour again in September.
