The region’s longest running community event, The Newcastle Show, is back in 2023 and so too is Greater Bank's support.
This will be Greater Bank’s third consecutive year supporting the iconic regional event which is again be held at its traditional home, the Newcastle Showground in Broadmeadow, from Friday 3rd through to Sunday 5th March, 2023.
More than 30,000 people went through the gates in 2022, and organisers have no doubt that the mix of tradition events and attractions, along with huge range of experiences, entertainment and carnivals will see that number eclipsed this year.
Greater Bank will host integrated on-ground activations, including Sparkie's Challenge. Inspired by SPARK, the bank’s digital platform designed to encourage children to build healthy savings and money management habits, event goers can participate in fun challenges and win prizes.
Greater Bank will also be showcasing their Finance Academy program to the high school student attending The Show on the Friday as part of the Schools Excursion program. The Finance Academy is a financial literacy outreach program delivered to high school students across the Hunter, Central Coast, the Central West and Northern regions of NSW.
Here’s just a snapshot of what the 2023 Newcastle Show will have on offer:
- The Hunter’s agricultural heritage will be on display, including the cuddly friends in the Animal Nursery.
- The Centre Ring will have something for everyone, including Medieval Horse Shows, Fire-whip shows, Extreme Motor Cross and the crowd favourite, Hot Wheels Stunt Team!
- The Graze on the Grass food court will be filled with delectable local food trucks and vendors.
- The Community Stage will feature amazing local talent and children’s entertainment across all three days.
- WOW Reptile encounters will showcase some of the incredible creatures from the reptile and amphibian world.
- Sideshow Alley’s 80 rides and amusements will provide plenty of thrills and old-fashioned fun for people of all ages!
- No show would be complete without showbags.
