Greater support for the Mid North Coast region

A bank is nothing without its customers, which is why Greater Bank is committed to supporting the communities that support us.

One of the ways we do this is through our Community Funding Program, which delivers $3,000 each month to local organisations making the Mid North Coast region even greater.

Since launching in November 2020, we’ve provided $84,000 to 84 different community groups since launching, with the monthly winner of our public online vote receiving $2,000 and two runners-up each taking away $500.

The beneficiaries include animal welfare organisations, sporting clubs, historical societies, youth support services, an indigenous radio station and environment groups, among many others.

Our most recent winner is the Tinonee Public School P & C Association, which plans to purchase a special laptop charging station.

Tinonee Public School P & C Association Member Kristy Allen said the school has 150 students.

Tinonee Public is a small school with a supportive and positive learning environment,” Kristy said.

The P & C would love to assist with the upgrading of the children's learning technology in the classroom, which can aid in engaging students and creating a modern and fun learning environment.

“This money from the Greater will go towards the purchase of a $2,000 portable re-charging station for the school’s laptops that secures them safely with a lock and ensures they’re always fully charged and ready to go.

“Giving the children better access to up to technology for learning will go a long way towards preparing them for high school and further education and training.”

The #Greater Community Funding Program now operates in seven regions in New South Wales and Queensland, providing more than $20,000 a month to help make communities stronger by supporting organisations that bring people together for the common good.
